Algerian parliamentary delegation received in Havana by vice-president of Cuban Council of Ministers
ALGIERS -The delegation of the People’s National Assembly (APN) Committee for Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Community, on a working visit to Cuba, has been received in Havana by vice-president of Cuban Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, said Saturday a communiqué of the Lower House.
On that occasion, Cabrisas Ruiz presented “an outline on the historical relations between Algeria and Cuba, mentioning the development of the Cuban economy and the difficulties faced because of the
Embargo.”
He has also extended “his thanks to the Algerian people and government for their constant support to Cuba and to the just causes all over the world,” recalling that the two countries “share the same positions”.
As part of the bilateral cooperation, Cabrisas Ruiz wished “that the relations and the exchanges between both countries expand to further fields,” calling for further” coordination between both countries’ parliaments.”
As for him, the Head of the Algerian delegation Noureddine Belmeddah welcomed the “level of coordination between the two countries, notably in the current situation.”
The Algerian delegation has also been received by Cuban Minister for External Trade and Foreign Investment Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz who presented the Cuban economy its positioning in Latin America, hoping that “cooperation relations between Cuba and Algeria grow stronger.”
Belmeddah underlined that the forthcoming meeting of the Joint Committee “will constitute an occasion to reinforce the bilateral relations.”
Moreover, the Algerian delegation has been received by Cuban Minister of Tourism Luiz Miguel Sanchez who presented an outline about the sector and its objectives.”
In this regard, Belmeddah said that Algeria “is heading to other sectors, notably tourism following oil price fall.”
The Lower House delegation of the foreign affairs committee, which is paying since Tuesday visit to Cuba, is composed of the committee head Noureddine Belmeddah, its vice-president Bachir Chakib Djouhari and a member Boualem Bousemaha.
